- Application for the treatment / procedure
- The patients' applications sent via our web site or
requested by phone call are received by Indicure' Patient
Information Center. Our advisors are trained to answer
general questions about the procedures and terms of
the service. If the patient has questions related to
medical issues, the advisor will pass the questions
on to the professional and the answers back to the patient.
- Quotations
- The amount fixed by Indicure on the first stage is
an estimate. The decisive amount will be confirmed after
the face to face consultation. It is important to insist
that the original estimate may be slightly modified
after the personal evaluation carried out by the professional,
once the patient has arrived in India. All exchange
with the Patient Information Center is free of charge
and it does not represent any kind of agreement between
Indicure and the patient.
- Items included in the quotation
- The quotation for a standard medical trip includes
the fees for the medical team, pre surgical studies
and hospitalization. However, a customized medical trip
may also include the fees for accommodations, assistance
service and within city transportation. All the items
will be presented in detail in the quotation sent to
the patient.
- Reservations
- Once the date for the trip and all the details concerning
the medical services have been agreed upon, the patient
will have to make a payment that will be 40% of the
package's total cost. Once the reservation has been
made, the patient will be referred to the Patient Care
Center.
- Before the trip
- The Case manager will be in charge of planning the
medical trip. The advisors will ask the patient for
his/her medical record and related information in order
to evaluate whether the patient is fit for undergoing
the treatment required.
- Preexisting diseases
- Patients with preexisting diseases will have to make
an extra deposit (apart from the package) that will
be used for the specific analysis required by his/her
condition or for hiring specialized medical staff to
assist the patient during the procedure.
- The deposit will be reimbursed to the patient if no
extra services related to his/her preexisting condition
is needed.
- Unforeseen complications
- If the compulsory medical studies show that the patient
suffers from a preexisting condition or disease that
may interfere with the procedure but of which the patient
has no previous knowledge:
- the patient will be informed about his/her medical
condition and about the possible consequences the procedure
will have on his/her health,
- the patient will have to pay a deposit (apart from
the package) that will be used for specific analysis
or for hiring specialized medical staff,
- the deposit will be reimbursed to the patient if no
extra services related to his/her preexisting condition
are needed.
Indicure will not perform any procedure that might have
negative effects on the patient's health without taking
all the necessary precautions.
- Confirmation of the dates:
- The Patient Care Center will confirm by e-mail the
consultation and treatment dates. The patient will have
to make the remaining payment on arrival in India, before
the procedure begins.
- Arrival in India
- The patient will arrive at the designated Airport.
A Companion will receive the patient and take him/her
to the hotel where he/she will stay. The patient will
be given a file in which he/she will find the trip's
schedule, as well as detailed documentation about the
procedures that he/she will have to sign before the
treatment.
- The assistants we provide are not exclusive, they
are assigned according to availability, and that is,
one assistant may receive you at the airport whereas
another will go with you to the medical consultation.
- It is possible for the patient to have an exclusive
assistant, but this service has an additional cost.
- First consultation
- After the first consultation with the physician, the
date and time for the treatment will be confirmed. If
on the first consultation the need for additional procedures
arises, the Case manager will prepare a new quotation.
- Follow-up
- After the procedure, the physician will set appointments
for the follow-up care and will inform the patient about
the special precautions he/she will have to take when
he/she returns home.
- Departure
- The patient will be taken to the airport on the day
of his/her departure.
- After the trip the Patient Care advisors will get
in touch with the patient to check on his health and
well-being.
•Cancellation policy
- Cancellation of the trip before
traveling
- If for any reason the patient decides to cancel the
trip after having paid the deposit or the total package's
cost, Indicure offers three alternatives:
- The trip and services are cancelled and Indicure reimburses
the total package's cost after deducting the administrative
cost.
- The patient may use the amount paid as a credit. The
credit will expire in six months and may be used to
pay any service offered by Indicure.
- The patient may transfer the payment to another patient
- Cancellation of the service once
in India
- If once in India the patient decides not to go ahead
with the procedure hired, he will be reimbursed the
amount corresponding to the procedure. If the professional
advises the patient not to undergo the procedure due
to medical reasons, all the expenses incurred until
the moment the physician makes this decision will be
charged, but the rest will be returned to the patient.
The patient will be informed about the expenses incurred.
If special supplies were bought for the patient (prostheses
or bandages, for example), he/she can take them with
him/her.
- Rescheduling:
- If the patient must postpone the trip due to personal
reasons after the deposit was made (40% of the package's
total cost), he/she may ask for a reschedule. Indicure
will stick to the original price for 3 months after
the date in which the trip was postponed, but once that
period elapses, the package's price could be modified.
The deposit will be held and considered as payment on
account.
- The patient may ask for a rescheduling of the consultation
dates only twice.
- Payment transfer to a third party
- A patient who has cancelled the trip after having
made the payment, may transfer the money to a third
party. In order to do this, the patient must state the
recipient's personal information and the treatments
this person wishes to undergo. The new patient will
be given a new quotation. The deposit made by the original
patient will be deducted from the total cost
Indicure' responsibility
The medical team and its staff assume full
responsibility. The patient will not hold Indicure responsible
for the medical outcome or quality of care or treatment at any
of the medical centers. If complications arise that will require
additional interventions or extended hospitalization, the cost
will be established by Indicure and paid by the patient. It
is understood that, in plastic surgeries, there exists the possibility
of discrepancies between the surgeon and the patient as regards
the aesthetic results. It is understood that the physician will
do his best to obtain the results that will best satisfy the
patient's expectations.
