Overview

If your face is showing signs of ageing because of either natural ageing, smoking, pollutants or prolonged exposure to the sun, a facelift surgery in India can bring back that youthfulness to your face. Medical tourism for face lift is turning out to be a more common procedure in today’s world.

Also called as Rhytidectomy, face lift is a very popular cosmetic surgery that usually rejuvenates lower two third of the face and is sometimes also combined with brow lifteyelid lift and rhinoplasty to renew your entire face. It is usually combined with either a full or a partial neck lift to achieve desired look.

Facelift surgery in India gets done by some of the most experienced face lift surgeons handpicked by IndiCure. These surgeons are reputed and skilled, working in some of the finest private cosmetic surgery clinics and hospitals that equal their Western counterparts in terms of quality and safety standards. Majorly, the treatment and face lift cost are comparatively cheaper as opposed to the foreign equivalents.

Candidates

Face lift is normally sought by people after age of 50, but even younger adults these days wish to undergo facelift. For them we recommend the MACS face lift surgery, which is a less invasive procedure.

If you have loose skin, wrinkles, excessive fat in your neck, deep wrinkles on cheek, and sagging skin near the cheek bones or have loss of definite jawline, you may get facelift done to rejuvenate your face. Candidates could be both men and women who are emotionally stable, physically healthy, understand the procedure and the associated risks well.

Procedure

The surgery is usually done with general anaesthesia, wherein your face lift surgeon will make an incision in such a way that it gets hidden in the natural lines of the face or hairline. The surgeon then carefully separates the skin from the tissue, removes excess fat, tightens the muscles and then closes the incision. This is done to give a more youthful contour to the face.

For your surgery, you will be required to stay at the hospital for 2-3 nights and another week in India to recuperate before you can fly back to your home country. So, 8-10 days are normally required for availing a facelift surgery in India.

Recovery & Results

After the surgery, you may have low or moderate pain, for which you will be given medications. You face lift surgeon will advise you to move to promote circulation of blood and while you lie down, you will be advised to keep head elevated to minimize swelling. The Stitches are removed a week later and daily activities may be resumed thereafter. Any heavy work, exercises and/or exposure to direct sun has to be avoided for a minimum of 6 weeks post-surgery.

Tough wrinkles will disappear once swelling subsides; it is only after a few weeks that the results of the surgery will be visible.

Testimonials

Face lift

I was very satisfied of my facelift surgery in India. Miss Bhargav and associates were all very nice to accommodate me. Even the doctor spoke French, my maternal language. The food at the hospital was good too. So, I have for now only good words for IndiCure.
